NIKE + EFÊMMERAS
The Rotary Square became a landmark in the history of women's basketball in Brazil after being occupied in July 2017 by a group of women who claimed it as a public space for the practice of the sport. Their initiative, which was supported by Brazil's former National Basketball Team player Magic Paula, transformed the square to host Magic Minas, a women’s only basketball team that meets every week on the court to practice.
I had the pleasure to art direct and conceptualise the revitalisation project of the Rotary Square basketball court in partnership with Nike and Magic Minas. In addition to striking art, the new court is a reflection of how women are leading changes in sport and art.
