This is an academic project intended to create a commemorative box about Orlando Villas Boas. He was chosen as inspiration because of his achievements throughout his entire life, which are largely unknown among the Brazilian people. He fought against many people to save the Xingu lands and all the indigenous people that live there.

The result was this box, made with natural materials such as banana leaf paper, and with layers of different depths to represent how Orlando entered into the Xingu culture and got so involved, giving his life to save their land.

Inside the box there are two packages, one with some of his letters, and the other with postcards we designed with traditional Xingu body-painting patterns. Also in the box is a notebook telling the story of the project, a DVD with a Xingu movie, and a mother-of-pearl necklace.
